Former CBRE industrial leasing and sales agent Matt Sampson has launched a Tinder-style online platform connecting tenants with available industrial spaces.

Mr Sampson said uTenant would disrupt the commercial leasing industry in the same way Uber and Airbnb did for taxis and holiday accommodation.

Based on the requirements entered by prospective tenants, the uTenant portal connects them to relevant vacant warehouse space which has been registered on the platform, allowing the two parties to negotiate a deal directly.

The portal is free for tenants, however landlords pay uTenant a fee based on 10 per cent of the first year's net rent, a percentage of which is shared with the tenant.
