High-end property developer, GURNER™ is soon to unveil its latest luxury project, Hawksburn Place Residences, offering a curated selection of just 23 residences consisting of only three bedrooms, with an average price-point of over $3.5million.

A collaboration with one of Australia’s most exclusive luxury interior designers, David Hicks, and architecturally designed by Cox Architecture, Hawksburn Place Residences has been designed to offer what the developer believes are the most luxuriously-appointed residences in a boutique off-the-plan project currently on the market in Melbourne.

Originally approved for over 60 apartments, the developer pre-emptively re-designed and consolidated the floorplates to accommodate for the unprecedented demand from downsizers recorded at its two most previous developments, which sold almost primarily to owner occupiers, an overwhelming proportion of them downsizers.

The resulting design has reduced the number of residences by over two thirds, and takes inspiration from the world’s finest European boutique hotels.

The luxury experience of Hawksburn Place Residences starts at the hotel-style entrance which has been meticulously landscaped by Paul Bangay, the exterior lavishly wrapped in natural stone.

Upon entering the marble-clad lobby that has been custom designed by David Hicks, guests will be greeted by a European-style lounge with art from around the world and a full-time concierge, which is available to residents’ every need.

The developer has gone to the extreme to make people feel at home with private lockers located on the ground floor with their own fridges and storage areas for shopping, wine storage, coats and dry cleaning that can be managed by the concierge.

The developer has also invested over $650,000 to accommodate for another half level in the basement to house an on-site car wash and dog wash as well as extra storage, while residents will also have access to Tesla chargers where requested.

Inside each residence, the hotel inspiration is referenced throughout, starting from the immense solid timber double-doors with custom-designed circular handles, which create a sense of grandeur every time residents enter their home.

Ranging from 145sqm to 810sqm, every detail of every material has been meticulously crafted to ensure that absolutely no expense has been spared throughout the penthouse-sized residences.

Purchasers can select from either the Nero or Grigio collection, which offer either a light or dramatic black Italian Elba marble or Nero Marquina theme, to create the most dramatic, sophisticated and bold statements throughout the kitchen, living, dining and bathroom zones.

Marble adorns the custom cabinetry and optional fireplace that stands in the living area, surrounded by feature LED strip lighting, coffered ceilings and timber chevron floorboards, all personally designed to the impeccable standards of David Hicks.

This curated sophistication continues into the feature kitchens which boast sculptural marble benchtops and splash-backs, complete with mirrored shelving, custom-designed timber cabinetry and LED strip lighting.

Stepping into the bathrooms, residents are transported to a luxury European hotel, with marble-clad, custom-designed double shower and vanities and hidden shelving, again all personally designed by David Hicks and perfectly complemented by a central feature bathtub.

Outside, floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors reveal expansive terraces with gardens designed by none other than one of Australia’s most revered landscapers, Paul Bangay.

David Hicks, who has now designed three of GURNER™’s luxury projects, said Hawksburn Place Residences had been crafted with the exacting needs of David’s own clients in mind.
