Aqualand has just completed construction on its second project and first self-delivered development, The Heysen, in Turramurra.

The Heysen is a boutique collection of 41 one, two and three-bedroom apartments within a fourstorey building, located a short 600m from the Turramurra train station.

Aqualand are thrilled to announce that all scheduled settlements are now complete and residents have moved into the boutique development. Self-delivering this project ensured that Aqualand’s core construction standards and valued customer expectations were not only met but far surpassed.

Alex Adams, Aqualand Head of Sales & Marketing and Head of New Business said, “The development will be Aqualand’s second completed scheme and the first construction project for its building arm. Having an in-house builder really made the customer experience a lot more personalised by adjusting homes to suit various needs. It certainly gives us confidence knowing we are delivering residences that truly are homes rather than standard cookie-cutter dwellings.”

The Heysen has been popular with locals in the area with 65% of buyers moving from within a five kilometre radius. The majority are downsizers, drawn to the sizeable apartments that range up to 146sqm metres internally with balconies up to 116sqm.

Julie Mead, purchaser of a 3-bedroom apartment at The Heysen said, “Aqualand have gone above and beyond, their inclusions have been amazing. The location is fantastic, it’s close to the CBD and the freeway. Throughout the entire development, The Heysen has got the peace and beauty that living in the North Shore brings.”

In homage to the conservation of three century-year-old eucalypts onsite, and a nod to Australia’s artistic heritage, the development is named after renowned artist, Hans Heysen – famed for his depiction of gum trees. The trees are part of a wider flora conservation to help revitalise Sydney’s depleted Blue Gum High Forest.

Only two apartments remain for sale at The Heysen including:
• 2 Bedroom and 2 Bathroom plus 1 x Parking (70sm) from $990,000.
• 2 bedroom plus study and 1 x Parking (87sqm) from $1,240,000.

Aqualand’s substantial pipeline of developments and immense growth has led to the establishment of an extended Aqualand construction team, headed by industry heavyweights under the direction of Aqualand’s Head of Construction, Tom Catalovski, who will be leading all future self-delivered Aqualand projects.

Mr Catalovski was previously Construction Director at Probuild Constructions and has over 24 years of experience in tier one construction of multiple asset classes and large major projects, having also
held a national senior leadership role with Mirvac.
