Isuzu Trucks and Amnar join DEXUS Industrial Estate, Laverton North

DEXUS Property Group (“DEXUS”) today announced that it has secured Isuzu Australia Limited (“Isuzu”) and Anmar Group (“Anmar”) on long term leases at DEXUS Industrial Estate, Laverton North.

DEXUS will develop purpose built facilities across 21,685 square metres for Isuzu Trucks and across 15,720 square metres for Anmar.

Chris Mackenzie, Head of Industrial Development said: “Anmar and Isuzu Trucks are a perfect fit for our industrial precinct. Anmar, a manufacturing company, complements other customers in the precinct like Unipod and Best Bar, while Isuzu Trucks will focus its facility on their Isuzu Care Program, Isuzu spare parts and a technical training centre.”

Construction has already commenced on Anmar’s facility which will include their national head office, showroom, manufacturing and warehouse. The facility will house the latest technology including automated manufacturing systems to improve output and service the rapidly growing domestic customer base. Proximity to major road networks and an available workforce, along with certainty of delivery, were key considerations in the decision to commit to the DEXUS Industrial Estate. Anmar is targeting occupancy in October 2017.

Construction is about to commence on the Isuzu Trucks facility which will include their national head office, showroom, training and spare parts warehouse facility. The facility will offer ultimate flexibility for Isuzu Trucks to adapt to potential future needs and will create a major entry statement to the DEXUS Industrial Estate with the building facing Doherty’s Road and Foundation Drive. Isuzu Trucks is targeting occupancy in December 2017.

Underpinning the success of the performance of both facilities is the architectural design of the buildings, together with the inclusion of a wide range of sustainability features that will deliver low energy and water consumption, as well as contribute to the wellbeing of the occupants.

Chris Mackenzie said: “We have applied passive design strategies to each building, with careful consideration of the operations to be undertaken and building orientation. The basis of each design was to minimise the need for costly inclusions, such as artificial lighting, mechanical systems and automated shading.”

Peter Evans, National Director - Portfolio and Transaction Management Occupier Services at Colliers International introduced Isuzu Trucks. Industry Property Group Director, Andrew Macqueen, introduced Anmar.
