Australia’s iconic commercial tower, 101 Collins Street, has announced a strategic partnership with Studio PP – the fitness empire founded by former -Olympian-turned-health entrepreneur Steph Prem to deliver RISE by Studio PP – a full-service on-site holistic wellness centre.

Designed exclusively for 101 Collins Street’s occupants, RISE by Studio PP will offer a 360° approach to health, fitness and optimal wellness led by a hand-picked team of trainers which includes former Olympians, professional athletes, celebrity trainers and Pilates and Yoga gurus across two studios.

The 360sqm custom-designed facility will offer a minimum of 40 classes per week across a range of disciplines including Boxing, TRX, HIIT, Barre, Hot Yoga & Pilates, Stretch, Mobility and Meditation; alongside services such as Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, remedial massage and nutritional advice.

Estimated to be worth $50billion worldwide and set to rise by another 7 per cent by 2025*, the corporate wellness industry is booming as major companies around the globe start to better understand the link between physical and mental health and productivity.

Locally, the market is in its infancy, with only 3.6 per cent, or 400,000*** employees across Australia tapped into a corporate wellness program.

RISE by Studio PP follows the completion of the 101 Collins Street’s multi-million-dollar End of Trip upgrade last year, which offers a resort-style spa and hotel experience for tenants and is widely regarded as a global benchmark.

The partnership with Studio PP represents the next stage of AXA IM-Real Assets’ ambitious plan to deliver a world class health and wellness offering for the tenants of 101 Collins Street.

Brett Dillon, Head of Funds Management at AXA IM-Real Assets, said the decision to launch a market-leading health and wellness facility stemmed from the growing demand for work-life integration and an opportunity to place 101 Collins Street at the forefront of workplace wellness.

“101 Collins Street has continually set industry benchmarks for more than 30 years. RISE by Studio PP is the next iteration of this commitment.”

“By delivering this market-leading facility we are helping our tenants remain at the forefront of workplace health and wellness. It’s a benefit to their employees and hopefully, their bottom line through lower absenteeism and improved staff retention” he said.

Founder of Studio PP Steph Prem already trains some of Australia’s most recognisable CEOs, corporate teams and BRW Rich-listers and has extensive experience in the corporate health and high-performance space. “Our partnership with 101 Collins represents the next evolution of corporate wellness. A cultural shift is gradually occurring in Australia with evidence that workplace wellness is providing a setting for optimising physical, mental and social health and performance.

“Our ability to live happy and healthy lives is undoubtedly linked to our work life balance,

“We believe if you’re not well; the business of ‘you’ is not well. Exercise is a direct pathway to lowering stress and anxiety in the body. By moving, motivating and educating the tenants of 101 Collins Street daily, our team will be able to optimise physical and mental well-being on a greater scale,” Prem said.

Designed by Australian architects Gray Puksand, RISE by Studio PP is expected to reach completion in October 2019.

High-profile tenants such as Herbert Smith Freehills, Allens Linklaters, Goldman Sachs, and J.P Morgan are just some of the names that occupy the building’s 57 storeys of expansive commercial space, surrounded by premium retailers and eateries such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Harrolds, and Il Solito Posto.

A Melbourne landmark since its completion in 1991, 101 Collins Street, Melbourne is widely recognised as Melbourne’s leading premium office address, located within the ‘Paris end’ of Collins Street. With 83,000m² of net lettable area, including prime Collins Street retail, it ranks among Australia’s five largest office towers. Many of Australia’s largest and most respected corporate tenants occupy the prestigious tower.
