CBRE South Asia Pvt. Ltd, one of India’s leading real estate consulting firms, today launched its first dedicated real estate technology Center in Gurugram, India. The Digital & Technology (D&T) Center was inaugurated by Shri Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gurugram, along with Chandra Dhandapani, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, CBRE, and Anshuman Magazine, Chairman, CBRE India & Southeast Asia.

The new Digital & Technology hub will serve as the firm’s primary software development center in Asia Pacific, with a focus on CBRE’s next generation technology suite. Smart technologies that leverage mapping, augmented reality and data analytics will be supported and pioneered at the facility.

As the global leader in workplace strategy, CBRE is leading the way in curating next-generation digital experiences, delivering workplace destinations of choice for every client we serve. One of the company’s marquee initiatives—CBRE 360—will reflect each client’s unique cultures and workplace requirements, and offer client-specific branding for property investors and occupiers that desire it.

The state-of-the-art Gurugram site will initially host approximately 120 software engineers dedicated to work on CBRE’s expanding suite of Asia Pacific digital products. Moving into the new D&T Center in Gurugram, CBRE plans to further invest in its India software development team, expanding both headcount and capabilities in the coming 12 months to pioneer the next generation real estate technology solutions and platforms.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gurugram, said, “the launch of CBRE’s Digital & Technology Center facility is a landmark event for the real estate and technology sectors in India, supporting the Government of India’s Digital India vision. Gurugram has emerged as a preferred destination for the IT industry in North India, with more than 400 IT and ITeS companies present in the city. We are extremely proud that CBRE has chosen Gurugram as the location for its first ever center for Asia Pacific. This further strengthens Gurugram’s position as the next Central Business District in the NCR region.”

Chandra Dhandapani, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, CBRE, said, “at CBRE, we believe that technology is a key enabler in enhancing the services and experiences we provide for our clients. This Digital & Technology Center will serve as a catalyst for the development of next generation technologies that help our clients achieve their aspirations through real estate. This center will give us access to world-class digital talent that India is well known for.”

The CBRE Digital & Technology Center adds to CBRE’s network of software engineering hubs and serves as the only dedicated development Center outside of the United States. Consistent with CBRE’s global technology development strategy, CBRE’s Digital & Technology Centers aim to develop and execute enterprise-level digital strategies that support business objectives, improve client outcomes and drive growth for clients and client-facing professionals.

Anshuman Magazine, Chairman, CBRE India & Southeast Asia, said, “the Digital & Technology Center in Gurugram is a game-changer for real estate and technology development in India. This center will not only pioneer a new generation of best-in-class technology solutions to address the growing digitization needs of the realty sector but serve as a major drawcard for India’s world-class digital talent.”

About CBRE Digital & Technology Center, Gurugram:

CBRE’s Digital & Technology Center located in Gurugram is the fourth digital hub created by CBRE across the world and the first outside of its home market, the United States.

The center also marks a sizable investment in India by the world’s largest real estate corporation. The center will serve as CBRE’s primary technology research and development center in Asia Pacific. The depth of technology talent, a legacy for innovation and a unilateral spirit of entrepreneurship were all factors that convinced CBRE that India was the natural choice to pioneer next generation real estate technology.

The state-of-the-art Gurugram site will host software engineers, application developers and data analysts. This Centre is emblematic of a wider enterprise shift to a client lifecycle-centric view of our technology enablement capabilities. Further, it will enable CBRE to meet the full spectrum of its occupier and investor clients' needs, with India playing a key role in this process.
