Sydney developers, Thirdi Group & Milligan Group have joined forces to create a landmark new $107M residential development in the heart of Waterloo. ICONIC Waterloo promises to be the suburb's most appealing place to call home, with its combination of heritage, industrial and new architectural elements, luxury exteriors & interiors by SJB, styling by Coco Republic and extensive landscaping and vertical gardens set to deliver new standards of living to Waterloo. It's rare when a development offers the perfect balance of a timeless heritage base, industrial inspired design and bespoke apartments in a single location. Award-winning SJB has masterfully balanced each element to create a character-filled design that's unique in the market. ICONIC Waterloo's design centres on the restoration of three heritage buildings with significant historical appeal. The buildings will be converted to residential apartments that retain many of the original features while the ground floor will be transformed into an active retail space with an emphasis on high-end food and beverage tenants. SJB have beautifully blended old and new architectural elements to complement and take inspiration from the site's existing industrial heritage features. High-quality interiors include bespoke joinery that continues into the living space and clever use of stone, timber and concrete to play off the heritage structures. "Iconic has been tailored to the lively area of Waterloo," says Jonathan Richards, director, SJB Interiors, Sydney. "The apartments have an exuberance in the architectural details that encourage the user to express themselves. With a lovely balance of open display and built in joinery, the kitchens have been designed as large pieces of furniture. Landscaping and high level gardens across the facade are features that become part of the interior experience. There is an elegant rawness in the materials, like concrete styled tiles in the living areas, hand built timber kitchens and natural brass tapware that give the apartments in Iconic a sense of genuine quality just right for Waterloo." Fronting Waterloo Park, the development's design will also create one of Waterloo's greenest and environmentally appealing developments with its extensive vertical gardens, large planters and heavily landscaped rooftop gardens with plunge pools and superb city and district views. The green feel is further extended with a private resident courtyard towards the rear of the development that redeploys the building's existing heritage timber and steel beams to create a tranquil, beautiful communal space. Penthouse apartment residents will enjoy private rooftop terraces unlike any other. Each will be completely screened from neighbours and include a private plunge pool, landscaped garden and decking as well as an outdoor kitchen/bar with a built-in BBQ under a shaded pergola. For inner city entertaining it would be hard to find better private retreats with city views in Sydney. ICONIC will also be Australia's first development to use the revolutionary ARTi platform to allow potential purchasers to see developments in Augmented Reality before buying off the plan. Buyers can download the ARTi app, point their phone/tablet at ICONIC marketing material (e.g. advertisement, marketing booklet, etc.), and the development will grow from the page into an interactive and responsive 3D Augmented Reality object. From the comfort of their own home, they can explore a virtual ICONIC apartment from every angle, see potential views from balconies and inspect proposed fixtures and fittings. Exclusive styling from development partner, Coco Republic, further complements SJB's luxurious architectural interiors. One-off furniture pieces, fabrics, artworks, accessories and lighting will create a truly iconic space for residents. ICONIC Waterloo display will be opened mid to late November. Construction is expected to begin mid 2016 with completion proposed for September/October 2017. 2920 1 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016  2920 2 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016 2920 2 option 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016à 2920 3 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016 2920 3 option 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016 2920 roof1 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016 2920 Unit 107 cut-through 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1026 2920 Unit 508 bathroom 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1023 2920 Unit L07 living 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1026 2920 unit510 bedroom 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1021 2920 Unit510 living 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016 DARKER 2 2920 unit511 balcony 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 2920 unit511 cut-through 830 Elizabeth Street Waterloo Perspectives 4969 1016 iconic Render Park View
