When Heidi Onisforou brings her magic to an interiors project, you know it’s going to be outstanding. Her recent project, a heritage terrace she acquired in Challis Avenue in Potts Point for $5m and sold for $13m in 2016, broke the record in the local area for a terrace sale. Now her latest project, the immaculately renovated 77 Macleay Street, comes to the market offering 260sqm of plush interiors with soaring 3.2m high ceilings and views over the leafy tree-tops of Potts Point to the Harbour and Bridge. The apartment offers expansive living and outdoor areas, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and parking, with meticulous finishes throughout.

“I wanted to create it for someone who wants the proportions of a home but wants to be in the centre of the loud, buzzy Potts Point, with its restaurants and the close proximity to the city,” says Heidi.

“However, I’ve designed something with the tranquillity of a stately home. People are shocked you could have something so substantial, smack bang in the middle of Potts Point. It’s like being in a treehouse. The apartment is on a corner so nobody overlooks you. However, you also have views down to the Harbour Bridge”.

“Potts Point is a parochial market”, Says Jason Boon, listing agent for 77 Macleay Street and principal of R & W Potts Point.

According to the online portal, R & W Potts Point has 85% market has share of the Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay area.

“The $3m and above market doesn’t seem to be affected by the APRA and Royal Commission banking and mortgage restrictions”.

“We have sold $67.7m worth of apartments in the last 90 days in Potts Point over 12 transactions and we have experienced an impressive amount of interest in Heidi’s property”.

“The primary buyer markets in the area are locals doing a lateral move and trading within the area, or wealthy downsizers selling a large house in areas like the lower North Shore and trading into an apartment for the SoHo lifestyle”.
