Stable Group, developers of The Burcham, Rosebery's newest luxury redevelopment of the Wrigley's Gum factory (circa 1918), has just announced it has commissioned renowned Australian artist, David Bromley to create three original paintings and limited edition prints, exclusively known as "The Burcham" series. The commission pays homage to the industrial heritage of the Wrigley's building. Finding inspiration in the Chicago-esque architectural style of the architect John Burcham Clamp, Bromley will interpret the rich history of the building in the three beautiful and unique artworks. In an innovative move, buyers of the new apartments will have the opportunity to purchase a limited edition  framed and signed print for their own Burcham home. Bromley's work perfectly reflects the spirit of the redevelopment, which has carefully fused history with meticulous design and clever sustainability. Over the past 20 years Bromley's work has garnered widespread acclaim and notoriety in Australia and internationally for its contemporary reimagining of a bygone era (Children/ Butterflies and Birds series) and commanding life-sized exploration of the female form (Female Portrait series) with a distinctive Warhol-esque influence. His work is hotly sought after by art lovers the world over. Similarly, within the recently heritage-listed building, The Burcham, modern finishes are fused with original features, delivering distinctive charm-filled spaces. Industrial influenced interiors create large living spaces, with kitchen, dining and lounge rooms seamlessly blended. Magnificent high ceilings and combination of beautiful polished concrete, lush carpet and timber floors with striking mushroom "Ë?Capital Columns' add character to the grand, naturally light-filled interiors. Sustainable living features include LED lighting, smart meters, photovaltic solar system, water harvesting, keyless biometric access, an embedded energy network, electric car charging bays and hydronic heating. Landscaped communal spaces by Durie Design include a thoughtfully designed sculptural terrace, timber boardwalks and communal edible garden. A rooftop area is designed for social gatherings, with a shaded luscious garden, stunning old water tower, re-purposed to hold harvested water for the building. The water tower also doubles as a rooftop outdoor cinema, where residents and friends can watch movies or relax, unwind or entertain in comfort and style amongst the sunken chill out zones or lawns and BBQ areas. The Burcham will launch to the public this month with construction due to commence December 2015. Completion is expected in mid 2017.
