Luxury penthouses come to the Hills

5 SEPTEMBER 2017: The only luxury penthouses in the Hills District are set to be released at Esplanade on Norwest Lake, giving much-needed housing choice for residents looking to relocate from large homes and gardens to a resort-style, low-maintenance lifestyle.

Development Manager Capital Bluestone will release the six generous penthouses in lateAugust, ahead of demolition starting on site in October, thanks to an increase in inquiry from local residents looking for luxury apartment living.

“Esplanade is the area’s first resort-style development which is proving popular with local downsizers looking to simplify their lifestyle,” Capital Bluestone Executive Chairman Steve Grant.

“With features such as an outdoor pool and spa, an outdoor cinema, lush landscaped areas for socialising and relaxing, cabanas, barbecue areas and a gymnasium – Esplanade is like nothing else in The Hills and these luxurious penthouses are a rare offering in this market.”

The penthouse range is priced between $2,000,000 and $2,950,000, with internal sizes ranging from 113sqm to 169sqm and 27sqm to 65sqm externally.

“Two penthouses at Esplanade have previously sold in off-market transactions for recordbreaking sales of more than $3 million and $2.5 million earlier this year – a key indication buyers are ready to make the switch to apartment living in this area,” Mr Grant said.

With Australian Bureau of Statistics figures showing there are nearly 1800 homes with at least four bedrooms being occupied by only one person in The Hills, the vertical living on offer at Esplanade gives much-needed housing choice in the local area.

Nick Turner from architectural firm Turner said the finishes for the penthouses had been chosen for their quality and durability.

“We’ve used a light, natural colour palette that while distinctive, provides owners with the ideal canvas to express their personal style,” he said.

“Adding to the beauty and functionality of these residences are the natural timber floors, large gourmet kitchens featuring a butler’s pantry with wine fridge, extensive custom joinery, full-height porcelain tiles in the bathrooms and automatic blinds in living areas.”

The penthouses are also designed so the master bedroom is separate to the guest rooms, creating essentially two living wings like in larger homes.

Floor-to-ceiling glass brings in ample natural light and makes a feature of the incredible views across Norwest Lake to the city skyline or back to the Blue Mountains. A sense of luxury exudes from all features, including the beautiful European oak flooring, premium Miele appliances, bespoke joinery, freestanding baths, heated towel rails, built-in barbecue in alfresco area and extensive outdoor areas.

Critical milestone reached as demolition set to begin The release of the exclusive penthouses at Esplanade coincides with Capital Bluestone’s announcement that demolition will commence on the site on 24 October 2017 following current tenant Sydney Ice Arena’s decision to vacate the premises. Demolition on the site is expected to take three months.
