One of Melbourne's hippest hangouts, the hotel reflects the city's art scene, with original artworks, chic furniture and graphic design elements in every room. Located on the fringe of the CBD, it has all the mod-cons you need for a great getaway as well as bonuses like a free breakfast and minibar. 19 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne Check out their Instagram Larwill Studio There are Art Series hotels scattered around Melbourne, and Lawrill Studio, named after contemporary painter David Larwill, is a shining star. It's an ideal inner-city escape in Prahran, just steps away from the shops, cafes and bars that make up Melbourne's market district. The rooms are vibrant and impeccably designed, and those with balconies look over the streetscape below. There are a couple on-site restaurants, but if you only have time for one, make it Huton. 164 Commercial Road, Prahran Check out their Instagram coppersmith1 coppersmith Coppersmith Sitting pretty on the scenic streets of South Melbourne, this boutique hotel has plenty to brag about. It has won awards for its minimalistic, all-white design featuring designer accents, tech gadgets and beds just begging to be sunk into. With just 15 rooms, Coppersmith is intimate and homely, and its rooftop bar is the perfect place to retreat to post a stroll in nearby Albert Park, or a day shopping in the CBD. 435 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne Check out their Instagram Lake House To lounge lakeside, treat yourself to a stay at Lake House in Daylesford, a town known for its mineral springs and spas, grand Victorian restaurants, and dining scene. Helmed by Alla Wolf-Tasker, the hotel's restaurant is a foodie favourite. Eating aside, the retreat has a range of plush suites and villas, a library, private cellar and tasting room, and the Salus Spa.
